How we engage

Engagement models

Three ways to work with Blockchain Soft Company, each with clear scope and GBP-denominated pricing. Every model includes an independent smart contract audit. Whether you need a dedicated blockchain engineering team or full cycle blockchain development delivered end to end, there is a path that fits your stage.

Fixed-scope delivery

A defined programme with a fixed price, fixed timeline and a single audit milestone. Spark (GBP 14,000) and Growth (GBP 45,000 to 120,000) packages run this way.

Dedicated studio team

A cross-functional team of designers, engineers and a DeFi strategist embedded in your project. Used for Brand engagements (GBP 140,000 to 380,000) with complex multi-channel scope.

Sustain retainer

Ongoing programme care, seasonal drops, analytics and tokenization upgrades under the Care retainer from GBP 4,800 per month. Ideal after a successful launch.

How we work

From idea to a programme people love, in four steps

Every Blockchain Soft Company engagement follows four repeatable phases, from a fixed-fee blockchain technical discovery to an independently audited launch and an optional ongoing care retainer. Each phase produces something real: a clear Web3 roadmap, a design-led dApp build, audit ready Web3 products and a plan to keep growing.

1

Discovery

We learn your brand, your community and what a win looks like before anything is built. Two weeks, fixed fee.

2

Design

We design the experience first, the on-chain model second, so it feels like your brand throughout.

3

Build and audit

We build the contracts and the wallet-less onboarding, with an independent audit before any launch.

4

Launch and care

We launch with you, watch it closely and keep growing it. You are never left holding a contract alone.

Why us

A studio programme vs an off-the-shelf NFT tool

Off-the-shelf NFT tools put a crypto dashboard in front of your customers. Blockchain Soft Company builds production ready dApps and branded programmes where the chain is invisible and the experience is yours. The difference shows up in wallet UX, in on chain analytics and in whether your customers actually come back.

Factor Built with Blockchain Soft Company Off-the-shelf NFT tool
Customer experience Wallet-less, branded, feels like your own app Generic mint page that asks for a wallet
Onboarding Email or passkey, a smart account made in the background Install a wallet, buy a token, then maybe give up
Gas and fees Sponsored, your customers never pay or see a fee Customers pay gas and abandon the flow
Security Independently audited, fuzzed and formally verified Shared template code with a shared attack surface
Design A design-led studio shapes every screen Whatever the tool's default theme gives you
Ownership Real on-chain ownership your customers keep Locked into one platform you do not control
Cost GBP 14,000 to 380,000 by programme, audit included Cheap to start, costly when it does not convert

Best fit for a studio programme: brands and creators who want loyalty and ownership that real customers will use. Best fit for a tool: a quick test mint with no brand and no community behind it.

Chain guide

Choosing the right chain for your programme

The chain choice determines gas cost at scale, finality speed, consumer wallet compatibility and compliance posture. Use this table as a starting point; the right answer depends on your audience size, geography and programme type.

Chain Best for Finality Gas cost at scale Consumer UX fit Notes
Base Consumer loyalty, memberships, mid-to-large brands 2 seconds Very low (<USD 0.01 typical) Excellent (Coinbase Wallet native) Our default recommendation for new consumer programmes
Polygon PoS High-volume drops, food & hospitality loyalty ~2 seconds Very low Excellent (MetaMask native, wide wallet support) Mature ecosystem with deep loyalty tooling integrations
Optimism Brands needing Ethereum settlement for audit trail ~1-2 seconds L2 Low Good (EVM-identical for wallets) OP Stack shared with Base; simple cross-chain bridge to Base
Arbitrum Enterprise programmes with complex smart contract logic ~1 second Low Good Nitro upgrade gives low latency for complex contract interactions
Zora / Shape Creator economy, music, collectible-first drops 2 seconds Very low (creator chains subsidise minting) Excellent for collectors (native minting UX) Built-in minting protocol reduces custom contract scope
Flow Sports, live events, entertainment fandoms ~1 second Low Excellent (Dapper Wallet, account-abstraction native) Resource-oriented ownership model maps cleanly to membership semantics
Solana High-throughput ticketing, large-scale community tokens <1 second Negligible Good (Phantom native) Best throughput, but less EVM tooling; adds 1-2 weeks to scope

Not sure which chain fits your brief? Our two-week fixed-fee discovery will recommend the right architecture and chain combination before any build begins.

Honest scope

When blockchain is not the answer

  • Brands where a simple loyalty card or an app would do the job better and cheaper
  • Products with no real community, where ownership adds nothing for the customer
  • Token launches without legal counsel on securities classification
  • Campaigns chasing a trend rather than solving something real for members
  • Anything where the on-chain part would only add confusion, not delight
We decline roughly 33 percent of enquiries. A programme nobody enjoys using is not worth building, for you or for us.

The caution is earned. According to Chainalysis (2024 Crypto Crime Report), USD 1.7 billion was stolen from DeFi protocols in 2023, and a recurring pattern in failed consumer Web3 launches is onboarding friction that loses people long before any contract is at risk.

Proof in production

Featured case studies

Retail membership, UK and EU

Aurora and Finch members club

280,000 members onboarded, most with no prior wallet. Repeat purchase rate up 41 percent. Gas fully sponsored, so members never saw crypto.

Sign in with an email, own your membership on-chain, unlock perks. The blockchain stays invisible and the brand stays front and centre. This is what a production ready Web3 loyalty platform looks like from the inside.

Events and ticketing, Ireland

Harbour Sound Festival tickets

120,000 collectible tickets issued. Resale fraud eliminated through on-chain ownership. Second-year sales up 28 percent from collectible-holder presales.

Each ticket is a collectible the fan keeps after the show, and only real holders get presale access next year. NFT platform development and smart contract deployment done in six weeks from brief to launch.

What determines your programme price

Programme budgets vary for concrete, predictable reasons. Understanding the six main drivers helps you scope your first conversation accurately and avoid surprises mid-engagement.

Programme scope and breadth

A single collectible drop (Spark, GBP 14,000 fixed) is a fraction of the cost of a multi-channel loyalty programme with points, tiers and a phygital component (Brand, up to GBP 380,000). Every feature, integration point and token mechanic adds contract scope and design work.

Chain selection and multi-chain scope

Single-chain programmes on Base or Polygon are the most efficient. Each additional chain adds a 1 to 2 week engineering cycle for contract deployment, wallet testing and gas sponsorship configuration. Three-chain scopes add roughly 15 to 25 percent to build cost.

Audit depth and formal verification

Every programme includes a standard independent audit. Programmes handling high-value tokenized assets or requiring formal verification (Halmos symbolic execution) carry a higher audit fee, typically GBP 6,000 to 18,000 depending on contract complexity.

Third-party integrations

Connecting the on-chain programme to an existing CRM, a POS system, an e-commerce platform or an external KYC provider adds integration scope. Each certified connector takes one to three weeks and typically GBP 4,000 to 12,000 depending on the API quality.

Timeline compression

Standard Spark delivery is three weeks; full Growth programmes run four to eight months. Compressing a six-month scope into three months requires additional parallel engineering resource and increases cost by 20 to 35 percent versus the standard pace.

Compliance and regulatory posture

UK and EU consumer programmes need ICO-aligned data handling by default. Programmes with a community token element need legal structuring advice on securities classification (we work with recommended counsel). Cross-border programmes touching MiCA-regulated jurisdictions add compliance review time.

I am a designer, not a crypto person, and that is the point. I started Blockchain Soft Company because the technology was being aimed at the wrong people in the wrong way. Our studio of 29 has shipped 96 programmes that 1.1 million people have used, most of whom never knew a blockchain was involved, and every contract we have shipped has been independently audited with nothing lost.

The studio began in 2021 after I watched a brilliant brand lose almost everyone at a mint page that asked for a wallet. The product was lovely. The doorway was hostile. We spent that winter building a wallet-less front door, sign in with an email and the chain disappears, and "design the front door first" has been the first line of every brief since.

Who builds your programme

Your dedicated studio team

Every programme at Blockchain Soft Company is delivered by a cross-functional team drawn from our 29-person Belfast studio. The people named below work on your project from discovery through to handover, not as hands rented by the hour but as your programme team.

Programme Architect

Owns the on-chain architecture, selects the chain and contract pattern, and reviews every design decision before a line of code is written. One per programme, assigned at kickoff.

Smart Contract Engineer

Writes, tests and fuzz-tests the Solidity (or Rust/Cadence) contracts, maintains the audit-ready code standard and owns the deployment runbook. Typically two per Growth or Brand engagement.

Security and Audit Lead

Runs the internal security pipeline: Slither static analysis, Mythril symbolic execution, Halmos formal verification and Foundry fuzzing. Coordinates the independent external audit. Responsible for zero-critical-findings delivery on every programme.

Consumer UX Designer

Designs the wallet-less onboarding flow, membership and collectible experience, and all touch-points from sign-in to perk redemption. Brand alignment and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance are owned by this role.

Integration Engineer

Connects the on-chain programme to your CRM, e-commerce platform, analytics stack and KYC provider. Owns the subgraph indexing, event webhooks and API layer that surfaces on-chain data to your existing tools.

QA and Release Engineer

Owns end-to-end test coverage, testnet validation, mainnet deployment verification and the post-launch monitoring setup. Signs off every programme before it is presented to the client for launch approval.

Programme Manager

Your day-to-day point of contact. Manages milestones, flags risks early, coordinates the audit submission and keeps delivery on schedule. Present from the first discovery call to handover.

What you receive

Deliverables at handover

Blockchain Soft Company programmes are not a SaaS dependency you rent. At handover you receive the full programme, documented and owned by you, so you can run it, extend it or migrate it without asking us permission.

Audited and source-verified contracts

Full Solidity (or Rust/Cadence) source, independently audited, source-verified on the chain's block explorer and deployed under your admin key. The audit report is included.

Deployment runbook and keys

A step-by-step deployment and upgrade runbook, your admin and upgrade keys transferred at handover, and a full record of every deployment transaction.

Threat model and test suite

A documented threat model covering the programme's attack surface, the full Foundry test suite (unit, fuzz and invariant tests) and the Slither / Halmos CI configuration.

API, SDK and integration docs

A typed API or SDK for your front end, full OpenAPI documentation, and integration guides for each connected system (CRM, e-commerce, analytics, subgraph).

Knowledge transfer session

A recorded handover session covering programme operations, seasonal drop procedures, monitoring setup and common upgrade patterns, attended by your technical and marketing leads.

Consumer experience and accessibility report

A WCAG 2.2 AA conformance report for the delivered consumer experience, a Lighthouse audit summary and a gas benchmark showing per-action costs at three scale levels.

Our commitments

How we protect your investment

Working with a Blockchain Development Company is a significant trust decision. Every Blockchain Soft Company engagement includes these protections as standard, not as upsells or add-ons.

Fixed-price discovery

Discovery is a two-week, fixed-fee engagement. You get a technical specification, chain recommendation and effort estimate before committing to a full build. No open-ended retainer to explore the brief.

You own the IP and source code

Every contract, every design file and every line of integration code is transferred to you at handover under a full IP assignment. Blockchain Soft Company retains no licence over your programme.

Audit-pass commitment

We commit to resolving all critical and high findings identified in the independent audit before launch, at no additional cost. Zero critical findings in production across all 96 programmes delivered to date is the record behind this commitment.

No vendor lock-in

Your programme is deployed on a public chain under your own admin key, documented with a full deployment runbook and a typed API. A different studio or your in-house engineers can take it over with the documentation we hand over.

Defined exit and handover

Every SOW includes an explicit exit clause: a 30-day handover period with source, keys, runbook, test suite and a recorded knowledge-transfer session. Exit costs nothing beyond the agreed handover period.

Free scoping call

We will tell you clearly and without charge whether your idea is the right fit for a Blockchain Development Company engagement or whether a simpler tool would serve you better. One in three enquiries gets this answer, and we prefer it that way.

Your first two weeks

  1. Day 1: initial call with Teddy and your Programme Manager to align on goals, constraints and success metrics
  2. Days 2 to 4: brand, community and audience discovery; we read your existing analytics and talk to two or three of your team members
  3. Days 5 to 8: chain and architecture recommendation; wallet-less onboarding flow design; first-draft technical specification
  4. Day 10: specification review call; scope sign-off or iteration
  5. Day 14: fixed-price discovery deliverable handed over; full-programme SOW issued if you proceed

Wallet-less by design

Research Note BSC-2026-02 28 pages, March 2026 Teddy Bear and the Blockchain Soft Company studio

Abstract

This note examines why consumer Web3 programmes win or lose real people. We study 34 consumer brand programmes between 2021 and 2025, separating each into a smart-contract layer and an onboarding-experience layer. The dataset spans blockchain application development for fashion, events and hospitality, giving us a comparable view across wallet UX patterns and dApp architecture choices. Across the dataset, 68 percent of programmes that failed did so at onboarding friction, wallets and gas, rather than at the smart contract, even when the contract was sound. We present a wallet-less reference experience and quantify its effect across two production programmes.

Key findings

  • 68% of failed consumer Web3 programmes failed at onboarding friction, not at the contract
  • Email or passkey sign-in with a background smart account lifted completion dramatically
  • Sponsored gas removed the single biggest drop-off point in every programme studied
  • Programmes with reliable blockchain architecture and a clear wallet flow testing strategy retained 2.4x more members through month three
  • Zero funds lost across all 96 programmes in the studied period

2026 frontier

Where AI meets loyalty and ownership

Consumer brand programmes are entering a second wave of capability. AI and blockchain are converging in four ways that are already practical to ship in 2026, and Blockchain Soft Company is building with each of them.

AI-personalised reward engines

A machine-learning scoring layer watches a member's in-programme behaviour and surfaces the reward or drop most likely to convert in the next 48 hours. The smart contract enforces the ownership and entitlement rules; the AI optimises which reward to surface and when. We have piloted this on the Aurora and Finch programme with a 19 percent lift in perk redemption.

On-chain AI agents for programme management

Autonomous agents that monitor programme health, trigger seasonal drops and rebalance tier thresholds settle transactions on-chain using ERC-4337 smart accounts. The agent decides; the contract records. This removes manual programme management overhead and is live in early access for Care retainer clients.

ML-powered fraud and abuse detection

Ticket scalping, collectible wash-trading and loyalty point farming share detectable on-chain patterns. A lightweight anomaly-detection model watches wallet behaviour, flags suspicious clusters before they drain the programme, and feeds a risk score back to the smart contract's transfer controls. Zero client programmes have experienced a scalping event since we deployed this layer.

AI-generated collectible and membership art

For programmes with generative or edition-based collectibles, AI-generated assets reduce creative production cost by 60 to 80 percent versus commissioned illustration, while keeping rarity logic on-chain via Chainlink VRF for provable fairness. Every generative asset we ship is reviewed and signed off by a human art director before launch.

Security and compliance

How we keep programmes safe and compliant

For a Blockchain Development Company serving consumer brands, security is not a phase or a feature, it is the product. Every Blockchain Soft Company programme is built with a three-layer security posture: rigorous internal tooling, independent external audit and ongoing monitoring.

Regulatory frameworks (UK and EU)

  • Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) · EU regulation governing crypto-asset issuance; we advise on classification at scoping for any token element
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) · UK and EU AML obligations considered for community token programmes; referred to specialist counsel where required
  • Know Your Customer (KYC) · integrated Sumsub screening available for programmes requiring identity verification
  • UK GDPR · all consumer-facing programmes handle personal data under UK GDPR; ICO registered ZB-558920; DPO on staff
  • WCAG 2.2 AA · every delivered consumer experience meets UK and EU accessibility requirements

Standards held

  • ISO/IEC 27001:2022 · Certificate BSC-IS-2026-0488, NQA, valid through 2029-06-13. Covers information security management for blockchain software development and consumer programme delivery
  • Cyber Essentials (UK NCSC) · Certificate BSC-CE-2026. Baseline technical controls for malware, patching, access control, firewalls and secure configuration
  • ICO registration · UK Information Commissioner's Office reference ZB-558920. Required for any organisation processing UK personal data

How to choose

What to ask before hiring a Blockchain Development Company

Most blockchain development company engagements fail not because of bad code but because of wrong expectations at the start. These six questions cut through the noise and let you evaluate any studio accurately, including us.

Are your contracts independently audited before every launch?

The single most important question. An internal review is not an audit. An independent audit by a named firm, before a single consumer is exposed to the contract, is the baseline. At Blockchain Soft Company, every consumer-facing contract is independently audited before launch with zero critical findings across all 96 programmes to date. Ask for the audit firm's name and the report.

Have you built programmes that real consumers used without crypto knowledge?

Wallet-less onboarding is the hardest design problem in consumer Web3. Any studio claiming consumer-scale experience should be able to name a live programme, state the member count and explain the onboarding flow. Blockchain Soft Company has onboarded 1.1 million consumers across 96 programmes, most with no prior wallet.

Who owns the IP and source code after delivery?

You should. Check the contract carefully. Some studios retain a licence or a dependency on their infrastructure. Blockchain Soft Company transfers full IP and source code at handover under a signed assignment, and the admin key moves to you on launch day.

How do you handle gas costs at scale for consumer programmes?

Consumer programmes need gas sponsorship or account abstraction so members never buy a token or pay a fee. Ask for the specific technical approach (ERC-4337 paymasters, relay contracts, chain-native sponsorship) and a per-action gas estimate at three audience sizes. Blockchain Soft Company includes a signed-off gas benchmark in every Growth and Brand programme deliverable.

When would you recommend against building on-chain?

A trustworthy blockchain development company will tell you when the answer is no. Blockchain Soft Company declines roughly 33 percent of enquiries where a loyalty card or an app would serve the brand better. If a studio has never said no, that is a warning sign, not a strength.

What compliance and regulatory advice do you provide for UK and EU consumer programmes?

For consumer brand loyalty and membership programmes, the main frameworks are UK GDPR (data handling), WCAG 2.2 AA (accessibility) and, for any token component, potential MiCA and AML considerations. Blockchain Soft Company is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, ICO registered (ZB-558920) and refers token-element programmes to specialist legal counsel for securities and AML classification. We do not provide legal advice; we flag the questions and direct you to qualified counsel early.

Glossary of plain terms
Wallet-less onboarding
Letting a customer join with an email or a passkey while a smart account is created for them quietly in the background, so they never install a wallet or buy a token.
Smart account
A wallet that is itself a small programme, which lets us sign people in with familiar logins, sponsor their fees and keep recovery simple. It is the technical foundation behind every wallet-less onboarding flow we ship: the smart contract architecture does the work so the consumer never needs to.
Sponsored gas
The brand pays the small network fee for each action, so the customer never sees a charge or needs any cryptocurrency to take part.
Digital collectible
A limited digital item a customer genuinely owns, often tied to a real product, event or moment, which they can keep or pass on.
Membership
A digital card a customer owns that unlocks perks, access and events, portable and impossible to counterfeit.
On-chain ownership
A public, tamper-proof record that a specific person holds a specific item, which is what kills ticket touting and counterfeits. It is achieved through ERC-721 token development and NFT smart contracts that are independently audited before any consumer is exposed to them.
Phygital
A physical product paired with a digital collectible, so a jacket or a record also carries proof of authenticity and perks online.
Audit
An independent expert review of the contract code before launch, to catch problems before any customer is exposed to them. Our audit process includes smart contract threat modeling, static analysis with Slither and fuzz testing with Foundry, making contracts genuinely audit ready rather than just reviewed.
WCAG 2.2 AA
A recognised accessibility standard. We build delivered consumer experiences to meet it, so the programme works for everyone.

Frequently asked questions

What does a blockchain development company do?

A blockchain development company designs and builds software that runs on decentralised networks: smart contracts, tokenization systems, loyalty and membership programmes, digital collectibles and dApps. The work spans smart contract development, dApp architecture, Web3 backend development and secure blockchain deployment. Blockchain Soft Company specialises in consumer-brand programmes where the blockchain does the trust and ownership work in the background while customers see a familiar, easy experience.

How much does it cost to hire a blockchain development company?

Costs vary by scope. Blockchain Soft Company prices by programme: Spark is GBP 14,000 fixed for a pilot collectible or membership drop, Growth is GBP 45,000 to 120,000 for a full loyalty or membership programme, Brand is GBP 140,000 to 380,000 for a multi-channel Web3 programme with custom UX and Care is from GBP 4,800 per month to run and grow an existing programme. Every package includes an independent smart contract audit.

How do I choose a blockchain development company?

Look for a studio with independently audited contracts, a track record of consumer-scale programmes and a clear view on when blockchain adds real value versus when a simpler tool would do the job. Blockchain Soft Company declines roughly 33 percent of enquiries where on-chain adds no benefit, and every programme we ship is independently audited before launch with zero critical findings across 96 programmes to date.

Do our customers need a crypto wallet or any crypto knowledge?

No. We design every programme wallet-less by default. Customers sign in with an email or a passkey, a smart account is created for them in the background, and we sponsor gas so they never buy a token or see a fee. Aurora and Finch onboarded 280,000 members this way, most of whom had never held a wallet.

What kinds of programmes do you build?

Loyalty and membership programmes, digital collectibles, event ticketing and community tokens for brands, festivals and creators. The work also includes token vesting contracts for community incentive structures and NFT collection platform builds for creators who want a branded drop rather than a generic mint page. The blockchain sits underneath for ownership and authenticity, the experience on top looks and feels like any modern app.

What chains do you build on?

Base, Polygon PoS, Optimism, Arbitrum, Zora, Shape, Flow and Solana. We choose low-fee, consumer-friendly chains so sponsored gas stays affordable at scale, and we can add a new chain in 1 to 2 weeks.

Are your contracts audited?

Yes. We run Slither, Mythril, Foundry testing and Halmos in CI plus manual review as part of a rigorous smart contract testing and blockchain QA pipeline. Every consumer-facing contract goes through smart contract audit readiness checks and an independent audit before launch. There are zero critical findings in production and no funds have been lost to one of our contracts.

How is your pricing structured?

We price by programme. Spark is GBP 14,000 for a pilot collectible or membership drop, Growth is GBP 45,000 to 120,000 for a full loyalty or membership programme, Brand is GBP 140,000 to 380,000 for a multi-channel Web3 programme with custom UX and Care is from GBP 4,800 per month to run and grow it.

When do you say no?

We decline roughly 33 percent of enquiries. We say no when a loyalty card or an app would serve the brand better than anything on-chain, when there is no real community to build for and when a token launch lacks legal counsel on securities classification. A Web3 technology partner worth trusting will tell you this clearly rather than sell you a programme you do not need.

Are your contracts independently audited before every launch?

Yes. Every consumer-facing contract is independently audited by an external firm before launch. Blockchain Soft Company's internal pipeline uses Slither static analysis, Mythril symbolic execution, Halmos formal verification and Foundry fuzz testing, and the independent audit is a mandatory launch gate. Zero critical findings in production across all 96 programmes to date.

Who owns the IP and source code after delivery?

You do. Blockchain Soft Company transfers full IP and source code at handover under a signed assignment. The admin key moves to the client on launch day. There is no ongoing licence dependency on our infrastructure. For more on what you receive, see the deliverables section above.

What compliance frameworks apply to consumer blockchain loyalty programmes in the UK and EU?

The main frameworks are UK GDPR for data handling (ICO registered ZB-558920), WCAG 2.2 AA for accessibility, and for any token component, potential Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) and AML obligations. Blockchain Soft Company is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and refers token-element programmes to specialist legal counsel for securities and AML classification. We do not provide legal advice; we flag the questions early.
